CONTORL OF FIRES IN LARGE SPACES WITH INERT GAS AND FOAM PRODUCED BY A TURBO-JET ENGINE PART 3. THE DESIGN AND OPERATION OF AN INERT GAS GENERATOR

Stark, G.W., 1963. CONTORL OF FIRES IN LARGE SPACES WITH INERT GAS AND FOAM PRODUCED BY A TURBO-JET ENGINE PART 3. THE DESIGN AND OPERATION OF AN INERT GAS GENERATOR. Fire Research Notes 512

ABSTRACT

The operation of an experimental inert gas generator based on a jet engine has led to an appreciation of ways in which its design and operation could be simplified. The desired controls of a prototype generator, incorporating additional devices for entraining are in the gas stream, and for generating high expansion foam, are described.
