Doctoral student in Fire Safety focusing on egressibility, Lund University

This doctoral position relates to the area of evacuation in emergency scenarios, focusing in particular on people with disabilities. This is linked to so-call Egressibility, i.e. accessibility to means of evacuation for everyone. In particular, this doctoral position refers to the collection and analysis of data related to the evacuation of vulnerable groups with the intention to find solutions group during emergency evacuation. The project will include a range of methodological approaches (e.g. interviews, vignette experiments, AI-based modelling) for the study of human behaviour in emergency evacuation scenarios. The PhD project is linked to an ongoing grant from the European Research Council on Egressibility (ERC Consolidator Grant “Egressibility”).
